Ringed Vessel Mould with Lid

A ribbed cup with rings running around the body, plus a matching lid. This one makes the container rather than the candle — pour plaster or concrete into it, and you get a vessel to fill with wax afterwards. Food-grade silicone that handles a wide temperature range and releases cleanly, so you get the ridges rather than a smoothed-out approximation of them.

How to use

Mix plaster to a pouring consistency — thicker than you think you need and it will not reach the base of the rings. Pour in one go, tap the mould repeatedly on the bench for a full minute to bring air out of the ridges, then leave it to cure fully before demoulding. Seal the inside of the finished vessel before pouring wax into it, since bare plaster is porous.

Care & safety

Wash in warm soapy water and dry fully before storing flat. Trim any small burr from a finished pour with a blade held away from the mould, never inside it. Keep out of direct sunlight.
