Cement Vessel Soy Candle

Soy wax hand-poured into a coloured cement cup, with each colour matched to its own fragrance — moss green with Alpine Cedar, vermilion with Grapefruit Lemon, pale pink with White Peach Oolong, off-white with Litchi White Tea. When the candle is finished the cement vessel stays useful, which is more than most candle containers manage.

How to use

Burn for two to three hours the first time so the melt pool reaches the full width of the cup. Trim the wick to 5 mm before each light. When the candle is spent, soften the last of the wax with warm water, lift the wick tab out and wash the vessel — it takes a new pour, or works as a pot for brushes and pens.

Care & safety

Cement holds heat for a long time after the flame is out, so let it cool fully before moving it. Burn on a heat-resistant surface away from draughts, never unattended, and out of reach of children and pets. Stop burning once about 10 mm of wax remains.
