Wick Trimmer

Angled stainless steel blades that reach down into a jar candle where ordinary scissors simply cannot, with a flat plate that catches the trimmed wick instead of dropping it into the wax. Trim to about 5 mm before each burn and a candle lasts longer, smokes less, and stops throwing soot up the glass.

How to use

Trim before lighting, not after — a warm wick bends and cuts unevenly. Rest the flat foot of the trimmer on the rim of the jar so the blades sit level, cut to about 5 mm, and tip the offcut off the plate rather than into the wax. Wooden wicks are the exception: trim those shorter, to around 3 mm.

Care & safety

Wipe the blades after every trim so wax does not build up in the hinge. Hand wash only and dry immediately — do not put it in the dishwasher, which will pit the finish. Store dry.
