Concrete Candle Warmer Lamp

Cast concrete, 23 cm tall, with a 35W halogen lamp that melts a candle from above rather than burning it. Dimmable, with a timer, so it switches itself off after you have gone to bed. The weight is rather the point — this stays exactly where you put it, and the concrete holds the warmth.

How to use

Stand it on a flat surface that can take the weight and centre a jar candle underneath. Dim it low to start and bring it up until the wax surface melts — around ten minutes with the 35W halogen. Set the timer and it will shut itself off without you thinking about it.

Care & safety

Halogen runs hot: let it cool fully before touching the head or replacing the bulb. Keep the lamp clear of anything flammable and out of reach of children and pets. Concrete chips if knocked against a hard edge, so lift rather than drag it.
