Carved Wooden Teardrop Holder

A carved wooden teardrop that lifts a candle off the table and frames it. Three sizes — line up all three and you get a stepped arrangement without having to think about it. The carving is what stops it reading as a plain block: the grain catches differently at each height.

Details

• Carved wood
• Three sizes: 16.5 × 14.5 cm, 23.5 × 15.5 cm, 29.5 × 18 cm
• Teardrop silhouette that frames the flame
• Buy all three for a stepped display
• Holder only — candle not included

How to use

Sit a pillar or taper candle in the opening and stand the holder well back from anything that can catch. If you have more than one size, group them off-centre rather than in a straight line — the stepped heights read better slightly staggered.

Care & safety

Wood and flame need distance: keep the candle from burning down to within 10 mm of the wood, and never leave it lit unattended. Wipe with a dry cloth. Keep out of direct sun and away from damp, both of which will move the grain over time.

A good gift for

Inexpensive enough to buy the full set of three, which makes it a generous-looking gift for very little. Part of the accessories range at GLOW & AURA.
