Anchor the wick at the base, centre it, then pour at your wax temperature and leave to set level and undisturbed. Cement draws heat out of the wax, so let it cool slowly at room temperature.

Care & safety

Cement holds heat well after the flame is out; let it cool before moving. Wipe with a damp cloth rather than soaking. Small surface pits and colour variation are characteristic of cast cement, not faults.
